The 4.5" D2 tool steel blade is hand ground by Silver Stag craftsmen and heat treated to 60 Rockwell hardness — delivering exceptional wear resistance, outstanding edge retention, and the toughness needed for extended heavy field use. The blade features a built-in gut hook zipper along the spine — purpose-designed for opening the body cavity cleanly and efficiently without puncturing organs, keeping the meat clean and the process fast. The main blade geometry handles the full range of skinning, caping, and field dressing tasks with a control and precision that only a hand-ground blade can provide. Note that a light coat of oil after use keeps the D2 blade in peak condition.

The crown antler handle is where the Big Gamer becomes something truly special. Each handle is made from select North American antler — hand shaped, hand polished, and fitted by Silver Stag craftsmen. Because antler is a natural material, no two handles are ever identical — the color, texture, and character of your knife will be unique to you. Full tang construction provides uncompromising strength and balance throughout extended use.
