Demetrio Stratos
Description:
<This is the first analog release of the last recording by Demetrio Stratos of Areia, who died of leukemia at the age of 34 on June 13, 1979. This is the third solo album by Demetrio Stratos, who died of leukemia on June 13, 1979, at the age of 34, and was known as the vocalist of Areia, Italy's leading jazz-rock band. This album is said to be the last recorded material before his death, but it was not actually released until 1990. This work was created for the contemporary butoh dancer Valeria Mari, who recites (sings) a series of words by Nanni Balestrini, a writer of the Italian neo-avant-garde movement, as if she were speaking, whispering, singing, or shouting. It is an experimental work, but it is a pleasant work that creates a mysterious sound space where one can witness the difference in vocalization depending on the way the mouth opens, which is Demetrio's forte. This is the first analog release of this 1990 album, which was released in a limited edition of two 180g yellow vinyl discs.
