Description:
This is the world's first CD release of rare radio recordings from around 1960, when Tony Bennett, now at the top of the vocal world, was on the rise to stardom as an up-and-coming singer. He appeared on NBC Radio's popular "Let's Go to Town," a program produced and broadcast to recruit National Guard members, singing a number of standards backed by popular bands of the time such as Larry Elgart and Buddy Morrow. Some of the numbers were sung by his friend Ralph Sharon on piano solo.
