The Grammy-winning album, the last recording at this time by master saxophonist Wayne Shorter, is now available in Japan.This live album is the last recording at this time by saxophonist Wayne Shorter, who passed away on March 2 of this year at the age of 89. It features a performance at the Detroit Jazz Festival in September 2017, where he appeared with a special quartet with Teri Lynn Carrington, Esperanza Spalding, and Leo Genovese. The stage was dedicated to pianist Jeri Allen, who passed away in June of the same year, and is full of magical interplay with a high degree of freedom. The album was released on the Candid label in September 2022 and won the "Best Jazz Instrumental Album" at the 65th Grammy Awards in February this year. The Japanese release of the album includes additional tracks that were previously only available on the analog version.
