Long-awaited first reissue of a European jazz classic and extremely rare album! We Release Jazz label, which has attracted attention for its reissues of Fukuira's works, has simultaneously reissued two rare albums from the 70's by the Boileau Terrasse Quintet, a treasure of the local Swiss scene. The original is thrilling and agonizing, while the covers by Roland Kirk and Freddie Hubbard are groovy and superb. This is the first reissue of this masterpiece from the era when European jazz music was at its most brilliant. The Boileau-Terrachet Quintet was formed by Jean-François Boileau, a pianist, and Raymond Terrachet, a flutist and saxophonist, who were active in the Swiss local scene, and are well known for their performances at the Montreux Jazz Festival. This is the first reissue of their 1974 album "Boillat Therace Quintet," and although there was a best-of album in the early 2000s, this is the first time it has been reissued as an album. The originals are still in high demand due to being self-released; M(2) is an original by Roland Kirk and M(6) is an original by Freddie Hubbard. The cool M(5) is by Keith Jarrett and also on the Gary Burton & Keith Jarrett co-written album. The original (1)(3)(4) are also thrilling and agonizing death.Three additional bonus tracks are included on the CD only: "Dolphin Dance" (Herbie Hancock), "Adam's Apple" (Wayne Shorter), and "5thof July, Dulong Street" (Claude Engel).
