This vintage knife is a North & Prater collaboration between David North and Michael Prater, who have been making knives since around 1980. They are known for their straightforward working designs made of O-1 and other tool steel   This specific piece is marked 1 - 89 (January 1989) and has a number of 29-008.  The blade has never been carried or sharpened.  It does have some minor patina spots on both the front and back of the blade.  The back of the blade (the one with the date and serial number) appears to have a few more patina marks.    The crown stag handle is beautiful in color, and in excellent condition with no signs of cracks or marks.  The knife comes with the original black leather sheath that appears to be hand made featuring a series of fleur-de-lys.

This is a very nice collector piece for anyone who loves crown stag handle custom knives.
