A collection of 20th century French & contemporary Scandinavian clarinet works! This is one by Andreas Hermanski, a clarinetist who studied at the Cologne University of Music and Dance. He is a talented clarinetist who has served as solo clarinetist for Ensemble Accordes and artist-in-residence for the Rüdenscheid Chamber Orchestra. This album combines two masterpieces of 20th-century clarinet works that have been selected as competition pieces with works that include arrangements by contemporary Nordic composers. Hermanski's German premiere of Rolf Martinsson's Fantastic Suite, which is included at the end of the album, was praised by the Westfalen Post as "an impressive performance with nimble fingering, quick tangings and consistently beautiful tone.
