Written for two pianos and 11 dancers by Sufian Stevens, choreographer Justin Peck's score for the ballet Reflections, an album performed by pianists Timo Andres and Connor Hanick, released. Composer, multi-instrumentalist, and singer/songwriter Sufjan Stevens will release his album Reflections on Asthmatic Kitty Records. It is Stevens' score for choreographer Justin Peck's ballet, performed by pianists Timo Andres and Conor Hanick. Originally commissioned by the Houston Ballet to accompany Peck's choreography, the work premiered on March 21, 2019.Written for two pianos and 11 dancers, it is the sixth collaboration between Stevens and Peck, following "Year of the Rabbit" (2012), "Everywhere We Go" (2014), "In the Countenance of Kings" (2016), "The Decalogue" (2017) and This is the sixth collaboration between Stevens and Peck, following "Principia" (2019). The album was engineered, mixed, and mastered by Ryan Streber of Studio, Oktaven, and is Stevens' second composition for piano, following 2019's The Decalogue, and his first work written for two pianos.
