Tactical Long rods are a series of 9’4” fast action general purpose rods (7-10wt) designed for light saltwater or heavier freshwater applications. These 9’4” rods have a very smooth action that will easily accommodate a wide range of line configurations. Designed to match with the most popular fly options in each line weight, Tactical Long rods cast effortlessly with floating, intermediate, and sinking lines. The added length facilitates extra distance with less effort. This can be helpful from a boat, but the added length really shines for the anglers wading from the shore, standing on a breakwall, or casting from a personal watercraft that sits low to the water. Tactical Long rods feature large stripping guides and slightly oversize snake guides, which help to haul and shoot intermediate and sinking lines. Appointments include full wells taper premium cork grips with rubberized composite trim edges, Polished silver anodized aluminum dual-locking saltwater reel seats, cork fighting butts with black foam trim bottom edge, ocean blue wraps and silver trim. With many common sinking line options sized in grain weights, it is important to build rods that have a clear grain window in addition to a line weight rating.
