Get ready for an unforgettable weekend of adventure at the second annual Ukee Rough Water Sea Kayak Weekend, a premier event for thrill-seeking paddlers! Set against the stunning coastal backdrop of Ucluelet, BC, this action-packed experience features kayak surfing, rough-water rolling, and dynamic coastal paddling.

This event welcomes both Euro-blade and Greenland paddlers, with the majority of instruction focused on Euro-blade techniques. Learn from an exceptional lineup of internationally recognized instructors who will help you develop the skills and confidence to paddle safely and powerfully in challenging conditions.

Group Meals at the Manke Kayak Workshop

This year, we’re excited to include two group dinners in your registration cost! These shared meals are a great chance to come together, celebrate the day’s adventures, and nerd out about kayaking even more than we already do. Saturday will be a chef prepared meal and Sunday will be Backyard Smash Burgers (hugely popular last year).

You’ll be responsible for your own breakfasts and lunches. We recommend packing a lunch for the Saturday and Sunday workshops, as you won’t be leaving the venue during the day.

Late August often brings lively, choppy waters to Vancouver Island’s outer coast, energetic enough for a challenge, yet far from the massive winter swells. The Ucluelet area offers an ideal balance of excitement and safety, giving participants the opportunity to push their limits without exceeding their comfort zones.
