Percussionist Midori Takada, who gained attention in a new way by linking with the current new age scene with the world re-release of "Through The Looking Glass," has released two new titles simultaneously on WRWTFWW! This one features shomyo (Buddhist chanting) and chanting by Shingon Buddhist monks from Koyasan led by Takataka Igawa. Recorded at The Premises Studios in London and Tokyo in 2019. The words of the monks and the delicate tones, melodies, and rhythms spun by Takata combine to create a magnetic field of spirituality that is different in vector from the former "Mandala of a Thousand Monks' Sounds" but equally intense. The artwork statues are by Katsura Funakoshi, and the release is on the WRWTFWW label. Cutting Branches For A Temporary Shelter, a reinterpretation of traditional Zimbabwean music, was released simultaneously.
