• Wilkens is a three-time member of the Basketball Hall of Fame, as a player, coach, and a member of the 1992 United States Olympic Dream Team, for which he was an assistant coach. He was a nine-time All-Star Point Guard as a player. He retired on top of the NBA's all-time coaching wins list, and now sits in second.
• Mutombo was an eight-time NBA All-Star and four-time NBA Defensive Player of the Year playing for the Denver Nuggets, Atlanta Hawks, Philadelphia 76ers, New Jersey Nets, New York Knicks, and Houston Rockets. He was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2015.
