Becoming a swim instructor is an incredibly rewarding career as you are teaching an essential life skill to others. Once qualified, you’ll be able to find employment opportunities that are flexible around your lifestyle or if you are a Scuba Instructor - it will help bridge the gap between people who want to scuba but don't know how to swim.

By joining PADI Swim School, powered by the Starfish Aquatics Institute, you will be linked to a community professionals who will help you succeed. You will have access to a practical swim instructor training and development system

The Instructor Development course is divided in two parts:

2. Practical Sessions
- Learn how to deliver learning activities in water and Swim Instructor Level 1
- Level 1 Swim Instructors learn to gain experience in teaching under supervision of Program Director 
- Next Step (Optional) development in Stroke School followed by practical sessions for various strokes. Note Level II can be achieved after 40 hours of teaching experience under supervision of Program Director 

Swim School Instructor Credentials have to be renewed annually.
