• For hot cereal: Bring 3 cups water and 1/2 teaspoon salt to a boil. Add 1 cup cereal, turn heat down, cover and cook for 10 minutes. Makes 2 1/2 cups. Serve with honey or brown sugar and milk. Add most any fruit such as sliced bananas, peaches, raisins, and/or dates, walnuts, pecans or sunflower pieces to increase your breakfast nutrition and pleasure.
