For sale here is a scarce Gary Howells bamboo rod - 8' 2/2 for a 4 weight line. Labeled 3 5/8 oz. with an actual weight of 3 7/8 oz. Serial no. 4616.  The rod is in excellent+ original condition showing only very minimal signs of use. Beautiful dark cane finish. Chestnut brown wraps with gold tipping. Ever so slightly swelled butt. Reverse half wells grip with only light soiling. Uplocking aluminum reel seat with gorgeous zebrawood spacer. The ferrules are size 13/64, the fit is nice and tight as it should be. Lovely medium-fast action; not as slow as many of Gary's tapers. Quite smooth and capable of very delicate casts. Original bag and labeled tube.
