For sale here is a Gary Howells 8' 5wt 2/2 bamboo rod with a labeled weight of 3 3/4 oz. Serial no. 5017. The rod is in excellent+ original condition. All sections are full length and straight. Copper colored silks with gold trim. Ring hook-keeper. The cork grip has been cleaned and exhibits very slight ridging. Aluminum up-locking reel seat with a fine zebrawood spacer. Ferrule size 13/64, fit is nice and tight. The rod has a smooth medium-fast action, a bit quicker than many of Howells' tapers. The rod weighs 3 7/8 oz. Comes with original bag and labeled tube.
