Being offered for sale is the antique PHOTO PRINT plus MATCHING GLASS NEGATIVE (used to make the print, of course) of the original JOHN ROYLE & SONS (machinists) BUILDING in Paterson, New Jersey (later moved to Oakland, N.J.) by "V. ROYLE (stamped/incised at bottom right corner of print, see 5th pic), circa the mid -to- late 19th century (company was est. in 1855 but we do not know exactly when this shot was taken/printed), as seen in the pictures/as described in the title. PLEASE SEE BELOW FOR IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES. Being offered for sale AS-FOUND, uncleaned. May require a thorough detailing to bring to their full potential. Both the glass negative and the print are in Very Good/VG+ antique condition with just minor overall wear but NO major cracks, chips, rips, tears, etc.. See pics.
Glass negative measures 5" tall by 8" wide. Print is 5-3/16" tall x 8-7/16" wide. Total weight is 4.8 oz..
