„Ride the Lightning“ ist das zweite Studioalbum der amerikanischen Heavy-Metal-Band Metallica, das ursprünglich am 27. Juli veröffentlicht wurde. Das Album wurde in drei Wochen mit dem Produzenten Flemming Rasmussen in den Sweet Silence Studios in Kopenhagen, Dänemark, aufgenommen.

Das mit Platin ausgezeichnete Album wurde 2016 komplett neu gemastert und erscheint als CD, LP und Limited Remastered Deluxe Boxset. Das Boxset enthält vier Vinyl-Schallplatten (inkl. 1 Picture Disc EP), sechs CDs, eine DVD, ein Hardcover-Buch mit noch nie zuvor veröffentlichten Fotos, ein Mini-Buch mit handgeschriebenen Lyrics und drei Postern. Außerdem beihnaltet das Set Live Aufnahmen, Rough Mixes, Demos und Interviews der Band.
