For sale here is a Thomas & Thomas "Special Trouter" 7' 4-5wt 2/1 bamboo rod. Serial no. 3444. Excellent condition. Medium tempered, dark straw colored cane with a matte impregnated finish and gold wraps, chestnut brown wraps at the winding check, ferrules, and tip-top. Bright guides. Ring hook-keeper. The cigar grip, 5 1/2" in length, is a bit soiled and lightly ridged. Bright nickel silver cap and ring reel seat with a mortised cork spacer. The swiss style ferrules are size 11/64 with a very nice fit. The rod weighs in at a lean 2.70 oz. The action is medium fast. A nice dry-fly rod with a good deal of backbone if needed. Includes original bag and labeled tube.
