The Cote Chalonnaise is continually making some great wines, way above their station - you could say,  global warming who knows but along -with the Maconnais this is the area for high quality yet affordable white Burgundy.

This is from top vineyards, all aged in 500 litre French oak. 

Lovely nutty, creamy nose with lots of citrus, nectarine,and toasty oak. Rich, almost smokey on the palate, has some Meursault like qualities.  Lovely textural feel, rich yet has good acidity keeping it fresh and really long. High quality Burgundy that could easily be from a grander appellation. Great with rich fish and white meat dishes in particular.
