A 1" tie rod assembly without turnbuckle includes two #3 clevises, two 1" clevis pins, and two custom-length 1" rods that all thread together into one strong assembly. 1" tie rods are the most common choice for residential architecture when structural components are needed. Without a turnbuckle, the ability to tighten the assembly will be limited compared to assemblies with a turnbuckle, but it will provide a look with simple, clean lines. A strap wrench can be used to tighten the assembly.
