LEA SYMBOLS® Near Vision Card

The LEA SYMBOLS® near vision card is specifically designed for measuring near visual acuity in children. The near visual acuity test is often used for vision screening for amblyopia in preschool or during the first year of school. The cards are printed with symbols on both sides.

The optotypes on the back are arranged more densely. The more crowded test with 50% and 25% spacing between the optotypes is a sensitive test to detect the increased crowding phenomenon.

A test distance of 40 cm is provided for this eye test. This can be maintained during the examination by means of the 40 cm measuring cord included in the delivery.
