The Italian klapvisor medieval helmet was a type of helmet commonly used by Italian soldiers during the 15th century. It was characterized by a visor that could be hinged up or down, providing the wearer with protection for their face while still allowing for good visibility. The helmet was typically made of steel and featured a flat top with a ridge running down the center, giving it a distinctive appearance. The klapvisor helmet was designed to provide maximum protection to the wearer's head and face during combat, while also allowing for easy breathing and communication with other soldiers. Despite its effectiveness, the helmet eventually fell out of use as firearms became more prevalent on the battlefield.
