An Aberlour single malt , distilled in 2011 and bottled directly from a PX sherry hogshead after 11 years of maturation , without filtration, color correction, or softening. What you see in the bottle—the dark color, the wood residue, the intensity— is exactly what came from the cask .

In the glass, this bottling immediately reveals its origins: deep, almost syrupy mahogany. The nose opens with rich Pedro Ximénez influences : raisins, dates, figs, dark chocolate, and wet oak. Beneath these are classic Aberlour notes of malt, warm spices, and a subtle nuttiness.
On the palate, it's powerful, full-bodied, and layered : concentrated sherry sweetness, espresso, bitter cocoa, candied orange, and clove. The high alcohol carries the flavors but never overpowers them. The finish is long, warming, and lingers with dark sugar, wood, and a soft bitterness.
