This sensational 1950s white cotton organza gown with floral print overlay is of exceptional quality and is beautifully constructed to showcase a classic hourglass figure. The floral overlay hosts a vibrant abstracted floral print in deep pinks, blues green and yellow, and excites an exotic feel. The fitted bodice is sleeveless with pinched fabric straps and a sweetheart neckline which crosses over the bust to the left and is framed with a pretty upward facing ruched trim in white. The waistband draws in tightly and is accentuated with a piped seam before cascading into a full floor sweeping skirt. The skirt features a thigh length slit at the front left, modestly masked by a panel of softly folding white opaque organza. This is dramatically embellished with a spectacular oversized floral print frill which excites a dynamic romanticism in the overall aesthetic and movement of the gown. Double layers of organza line the skirt for additional volume. The reverse of the dress covers the back and there is a central zip fastening. In excellent condition, this show stopping piece would be perfect for a summer ball or prom or even an alternative wedding dress. In view of the petite waistband we recommend it would best suit a US size 2-4, UK size 8.  Our model is 5'9" and a UK 10 on the shoulders, UK8 everywhere else and this was a great fit.
