Rattan furniture should not be stored outside in winter, as natural rattan is sensitive to low temperatures - it can cause discolouration, distortion and cracks under their influence.

Prolonged exposure to intense UV radiation can cause fading and weakening of rattan. Place furniture in places protected from direct sunlight or use sunshades.
