In the second game of the series that started with Sea Salt & Paper, the aim is to place your cards as cleverly as possible in a 3 by 3 grid and score the most points. You take turns taking cards from a central market and you always ask yourself: what do I need and which cards do I not want in my opponents' tableau? A nice puzzle game, with illustrations that transport you to a dreamy landscape full of wood elves and other friendly creatures.

Pixies plays quickly and is easy to explain. Yet there is a lot of depth to it, more than you might think at first glance. Because you can earn points in several ways, you always have to find the balance when choosing new cards. In order to score a lot of points, you sometimes have to sacrifice cards that you have previously taken: that hurts a bit, but is important for those who ultimately want to become really good at this game.
