By resetting the current fault codes, the power limitation can be temporarily lifted, allowing the driver to safely and controlledly drive the truck to the nearest workshop for further diagnosis.

Once the tool is connected, it immediately communicates via the network with the vehicle’s latest diagnostic communication module. The module sends a signal to various electronic control units (ECUs) – including engine management (PCI2), braking system (EBS 3), and the central vehicle computer (VIC 3) – to clear the stored fault data in the controllers. This reset process removes stored blocks and resets the warning indicators on the dashboard.
