Tasting Notes: This nose is bursting with depth. There's orange, nutmeg, cinnamon, and marshmallow. It opens up to a banana cream note. The tax is also complex. There are leather, vanilla, and raw dark chocolate. The toasted molasses comes out in a long finish as well as some cherry notes. The finish really highlights the marriage of the rum and wheated barrel. And it's a beautiful marriage!

This is a unique rum. The flavor from this wheated bourbon really shines through and doesn't overpower. I found Foursquare Rum about four years ago. Like most, I thought of sweetened and cheap bottles when I thought about rum. Then I learned about traditional rums thanks to Fred Minnick's book "Rum Curious". I was hooked! Now, you're probably wondering, where the wheated barrel came from. I'll just reference the barrel number and leave it at that :)
