Based on the classic Alnico 2 Pro platform that Slash has relied on for decades, the APH-2N uses a refined mag wire and winding recipe combined with an Alnico 2 bar magnet to push a stock Les Paul toward that familiar singing sustain, warm crunch, and rich midrange response. This pickup is hand built in Santa Barbara, California, using traditional Seymour Duncan construction techniques for authentic tone and feel.

Inside, you’ll find a nickel silver bottom plate, maple spacer, paper tape, and wax potting for stability and feedback control at higher gain settings. Modern appointments include Short Ear (SE) mounting legs to fit a wider variety of guitars and support direct mounting, plus a 4-conductor cable for flexible wiring options such as coil-splitting, series/parallel modes, and phase switching.
