Beautiful tropical floral print maxi dress. Circa 1970s.

Medium weight polished cotton blend with an overall tropical floral print in shades of blue, orange, purple, and green on a white background as pictured.

Cross over bodice with an inset self fabric cummerbund as pictured.

The bodice is lightly gathered where sewn to the cummerbund.

Ankle length skirt with 20" tall left side walking slit.

Does up the center back with a long nylon zipper.

No pockets.

The back of the bodice and around the armholes and the cummerbund are lined with soft white acetate. The bodice front and skirt are unlined.

DESIGNER LABEL: The designer label is missing, however, this is commercially made.

SIZING: Tagged a vintage size 9-10. However, based on the measurements below, I'd say this would best fit a modern size Small.

MEASUREMENTS:

Cut In Shoulders: 10" Across

Bust: 35"

Underbust: 29"

Waist: 26"

Hips: 37-1/2"

Bodice Length: 15-1/2" - Top of Shoulder to Waist Seam (includes 3-5/8" wide inset cummerbund)

Skirt Length: 41" - Waist Seam to Bottom Hem

Skirt Bottom Sweep: 48" - Around - (with 20" left side seam walking slit)

CONDITION: Very Good - there is no fading, discoloration, holes, rips, stains, or odors to the outside fabric of the dress. The only thing is a small 1/2" diameter factory dye flaw on the left front of the cummerbund as shown in the closeup photograph.

There are also several small pinholes in the interior white lining of the left armhole which do not detract at all as they do not show through to the outside of the dress.

Beautiful dress for any event. A wonderful addition to any vintage wardrobe.
