This mirror uses factory mounting points — no additional brackets required. You'll need a screwdriver and a socket set to remove the old mirror and bolt this one in place. The factory wiring harness plugs directly into your van's electrical system.

Does the heater function work right away, or does it need to be activated?

The heating element activates through your vehicle's climate controls when the rear defroster is turned on. If you're not seeing heat after installation, check your fuse box and verify the rear defrost circuit is functioning properly.
