Background of Mikaela

Mikaela Hyakuya is an important character in the anime and manga series Seraph of the End. Against his own will, Mikaela was turned into a vampire after he was separated from his brother Yuichiro and tragically lost his orphanage family from vampires. Committed to finding Yuichiro once again, Mikaela became extremely proficient in swordplay, using his first-class vampire sword.

Mikaela's sword is double edged longsword with a crucifix-shaped guard and a black handle. His power is proportionate to how much blood his sword absorbs, with the sword turning into a crimson color and being capable of encasing him with several thorny vines.
