The contrasting stripes of this elegant carving board come from pale beech and golden-brown iroko wood. Heavy, durable and made to last.

• Crafted from responsibly-sourced beech and iroko wood. Bonded with food-safe glues, finished with natural mineral oil and beeswax

• Choice of either lighter beechwood or darker iroko as the main colour

• Both beech and iroko are heavy, durable hardwoods
• The channel around the edge of the board stops carving juices from running off
• Dimensions: 400 x 300 x 23mm (as these are all handmade to order, sizes are subject to plus or minus a few mm)

Based in the heart of Cornwall, GT Woodshop is a husband and wife team specialising in stunning handmade chopping boards. Working with responsibly-sourced hardwoods from FSC forests or waste offcuts, these boards are a lifetime investment in craftsmanship. Their end grain boards are a labour of love, involving the glueing together of perfectly-cut wooden blocks, followed by an extensive finishing process. By creating this ‘end grain’ surface, the board absorbs knife cuts without damaging your blade. Cuts to the board can even heal when dampened, as the grain swells a little to repair itself.
