Product Description

8-inch traditional hand-etched brass storage box in the shape of a matka pot with a lid.

Use it to hold jewellery or sweets, or as a decorative piece to add a touch of traditional elegance to your home. It also makes for a great gift, on its own or as a container for something special.

This product has been made by traditional lohar metalworkers from Gujarat. These lohars started out doing small job like repairing metal tools and utensils for villagers. As times changed and with no work to be found in their villages, they refined their skills and tapped into the increasing demand for finely-crafted, aesthetically made traditional utensils.

Being hand made, this product is unique in itself, and its tiny imperfections are what make it special.

Instructions for Care

• Clean using dish soap and a soft sponge.
• Do not use solvents, acid, scrubbers or steel wool.
• Do not soak.
• Do not clean in the dishwasher.
• Do not microwave.
• To polish, rub 'pitambari' powder onto the surface, rinse with water and dry with a soft cotton cloth.
